Facilities Director

Discovery Church is one church with two locations on Florida's Treasure Coast, Fort Pierce and Vero Beach. We exist to lead people to become fully devoted followers of Jesus. Every role on this team serves that one mission, and the people who thrive here care about the person in front of them more than the program around them.

The Role

What you would carry

The Facilities Director keeps every Discovery Church campus clean, safe, and ministry-ready: leading volunteer facilities teams, overseeing preventative maintenance and vendors, and preparing the building so nothing distracts from an encounter with Jesus.

  • Set consistent facility standards across every campus, inspect them regularly, and catch needs before they become problems.
  • Recruit, train, and develop volunteer facilities teams and Campus Facilities Team Leaders who serve with ownership and joy.
  • Keep worship spaces, classrooms, coffee stations, and restrooms clean, stocked, and ready, with a walkthrough before every gathering.
  • Build and run preventative maintenance systems: HVAC, drain lines, inspections, records, and repairs coordinated before something fails.
  • Manage vendors and contractors, from lawn care and pest control to plumbing, electrical, and security, on schedule and on budget.
  • Prepare facilities for conferences, weddings, funerals, outreach events, and church-wide gatherings, and restore them afterward.
  • Steward the annual facilities budget, track inventory and purchasing, and keep walkways, entrances, and ministry areas safe.
