We exist to create environments where people can discover an eternal relationship with God and lasting relationships with believers. We exist to develop and deploy disciples throughout the Treasure Coast and into the world.

This is the arc of a life at Discovery. Not a program, not a track. The shape of what God has been doing in His people for two thousand years, given three words so we can talk about it together. Every page on this site, every Sunday, every coffee on a Tuesday afternoon, is somewhere on this line.
01Discover.
Meeting Jesus, for the first time or all over again.
We want to create environments where people can discover an eternal relationship with Jesus and lasting relationships with believers.
02Develop.
Becoming a fully devoted follower of Jesus.
We want to develop one's God-given gifts and passions so that they too can help advance the mission of leading people to become fully devoted followers of Jesus.
03Deploy.
Being sent to serve, lead, and plant.
We want to deploy people, fully devoted, into their homes, neighborhoods, workplaces, cities, and the rest of the world to share the good news with all people.
Our Story
From a living room of eight to two campuses on the Treasure Coast.
Discovery is seventeen years old. Planted in 2008 by Tim and Audra O'Carroll, launched in 2009 with nothing but a calling, sent forward through eleven nomadic years, rooted in 2020 on its own ground in Fort Pierce, and in 2025 planting a second campus in Vero Beach. The story is still being written.
2008 – 2009
From a living room to a launch.
Tim and Audra planted Discovery in late 2008, eight people meeting on Sunday evenings in a home to pray, study Scripture, and lay the foundation. The mission focus traces back further still, to 1993, when Tim's family spent two years serving refugees in Southeast Asia. Discovery launched on April 5, 2009 with no building, no sponsoring church, and no money.
2009 – 2019
Schools, a storefront, a church on the move.
We met at St. Lucie West K-8, then Treasure Coast Christian Academy, then built out a US-1 storefront we called The Refuge, then Savanna Ridge Elementary School. Always growing, always praying for the next chapter.
2019 – 2024
Rooted on 25th Street.
In 2019 the Lord provided 2.2 acres on 25th Street in Fort Pierce. We broke ground that November and held our first worship gathering in the new building one year later. Within four years we were running three Sunday morning gatherings on a single campus, praying for what came next.
2024 – 2026
Now and Next.
In December 2024 we launched the Now and Next campaign with two goals: pay off the Fort Pierce building, and set aside $200,000 to plant a new church. We've reached the first, retiring the $1.3 million mortgage so Discovery can give more to missions than ever before. We're still working toward the second. That church plant became Discovery Vero Beach, our second campus, launching in the fall of 2026.
