Colossians

In the first century, the church at Colossae was under attack from false teachers seeking to persuade them that the person and work of Jesus Christ was neither supreme nor sufficient for their salvation. Being concerned for a people he had never visited before, the Apostle Paul writes this letter to encourage the church to stand in the truth and power of the gospel that has saved them and promises to sustain them for their every need.
